The story

The Abbey of Goleto, near Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi in the province of Avellino, is one of the most imposing and evocative monumental complexes of southern Italy. Founded by St William of Vercelli around 1133, the abbey knew its greatest splendour in the Norman-Swabian age.
