The Old Mill of Loro Ciuffenna

THE MILL OF LORO: in Loro Ciuffenna, along the Ciuffenna stream, 15 mills once worked; the only one still active and perfectly preserved stands in the centre of the village. It is the oldest water mill in Tuscany (11th century), one of the first with a vertical-shaft mechanism built in Europe.
