And here we are on our first real tour with our 18-month-old little one... After various discussions with my husband about the type of trip, I win: with the little stove along for preparing the baby food and a bit of cooperation, I want to show him that even with an infant we can enjoy a fantastic tour and visit enchanting places. He wins on the number of days. In his opinion, in fact, after 10 days we will already be exhausted and will regret not having devoted ourselves more to the simple seaside life. We set off for Dublin and, once we have picked up the car, we head off to discover a magical, primitive land rich in colour. First stop the mystical Clonmacnoise, where among the tombs Nicolò has fun picking daisies and, in front of the Shannon, plays with the cows grazing...
the bucolic landscapes follow one another and everything is a discovery: from the unforgettable Kylemore Abbey, an unmissable stop, to lively Galway, from the evocative Connemara to County Clare... and then all the impetuous force of the Cliffs of Moher... But it is the Dingle Peninsula that bowls us over and after 5 days my husband goes out on a limb: “We should have stayed here at least a week longer...” From the village of Adare, a medieval gem with thatched roofs, to the Rock of Cashel, as far as Kilkenny, every corner is pure Gothic paradise, and the city of Dublin a delight between evocative corners and imposing monuments... What can I say... my other half admitted he had made a big mistake... travelling with children is even more exciting and the memories shared with your family are a priceless treasure...
