departure from Rome on a charter flight, tour organised by 4winds. in Iceland the weather is bad and the forecast (which then came true) for the first day of the tour forces us to bring forward to the evening of our arrival the excursion in search of the northern lights (northern lights that will not be seen on 1 November, nor on the following days....). day 2: visit to the city in the morning. in the afternoon the excursion to the Blue Lagoon was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions (visit postponed to day 5) day 3: golden circle: Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall, Þingvellir day 4: south of the island, Skógafoss waterfall, Skógafoss museum, Vík and the south coast,.... day 5: Bluelagoon....
the choice to go to Iceland in winter was dictated by the tour operator's great offer, and by the desire to discover the northern lights; tip: unless you have quite a few days, and patience, available to enjoy the best conditions for spotting the northern lights, it's better to visit Iceland in summer, to enjoy a more favourable climate...
