Hungary In the blue Fiat 126, Sergio and I enter Hungary from Austria, and after changing a bit of local currency we head east. We spend the first night in a small town where we immediately find a very nice and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, but we are worried about having our two Graziella bikes, which we have on the roof rack to take to the poor of Romania, stolen, so we take them down and put them inside the bed and breakfast. The next day we continue along the roads of Hungary and reach the eastern border with Romania, but when we learned that to cross over there we had to pay a bribe to the customs officers, we thought again and left the bikes in Hungary. And on the way back we stop at a nice hotel; we see that the prices are very low even though we are staying in multi-star places. So we take advantage of it. For the return we pass through Austria again and then Italy.
Three days in all. I discover that Hungary does not appeal to me that much; of course I could not expect Switzerland, after a devastating communist regime. bye
