The story

Ryanair at 80 € return. Minibus, 20 € per couple, because we arrived late in the evening, to the hotel; until midnight you can take the 200E bus to the terminus of the blue metro line and from there anywhere (tried on the way back). I recommend the Travel card (transport only), available in various denominations all very convenient compared to single tickets; it's timed, so be careful about when it expires. The transport is very efficient and takes you anywhere quickly; there are numerous checks and hefty fines. The city is beautiful, as are its inhabitants.

Walking through its streets you breathe air scented with serenity, sugar and cinnamon!! The streets are incredibly clean, people stop when a pedestrian approaches the crossings, there's not a car parked out of place! It's worth popping into Sir Lancelot (Podmaniczky utca, 14) for a historic medieval-style feast, complete with a bib and no cutlery! All themed! I also recommend the Red Pepper (Visegrádi St 2), where you eat Hungarian like nowhere else for just 11 euros (yes, exactly eleven euros) each; a refined, elegant place with giant portions. - to be continued -
