The story

If the ship docks at the "new port" (that is, if they don't take you by tender directly to the center) there is always a local bus waiting that sells tickets on board (€1.40) and takes you near the center. The town is nice to visit, but there are only narrow alleys and tourist shops; it's preferable to also plan a swim in the sea; the water is so transparent it can't be seen. You can almost always, near the small harbor, see Petros, the pelican mascot of the island.
