The story
Itinerary:
First day The Ionian Greece is the ideal place for sailing, with a steady north-westerly wind around 10-15 knots, enough to make for enjoyable but not too demanding sailing.
Setting off from Preveza we'll head south, reaching the entrance to Levkas in a couple of hours, separated from the mainland by a canal dug by the ancient Corinthians 2,600 years ago and protected by the castle of Santa Maura, built in 1300.
At night we'll sleep at anchor in a bay on Meganisi, from where, with a short walk along a dirt road, we can reach the island's main village.............
