Lindos Set in a splendid position on a mountainous peninsula along the eastern coast, the town of Lindos is one of the greatest attractions of the Island of Rhodes. The view is still one of those you never forget: the acropolis – a fortress with its Byzantine walls – towers over the village overlooking a crystal-clear bay. Kamiros The excavations of Kamiros lie 35 km south-west of Rhodes, in a superb position on a hill along the western coast, a natural terrace with a breathtaking view, suspended between sky and sea, the latter rippling in the breeze. Rhodes The magic of this city changes constantly with the changing light at the various hours of the day and night. Pomegranates and figs, bougainvillea and clematis spread their colours and scents, the little fountains create a sense of peace and freshness. The old town of Rhodes is a treasure chest of wonders.
Rhodes ends where the discovery of the secluded beaches of the western coast begins. From this holiday too we still carry in our hearts a wonderful memory, not only of the beautiful places visited but also of the friends we made. Island of Symi Steep above the sea a short distance from the Turkish coast, Symi is surrounded by numerous islets. While in almost all of Greece old and picturesque houses were being demolished and replaced with anonymous concrete buildings, the inhabitants of Symi took care instead to repair the old dwellings. Today they reap the rewards of this far-sighted "policy", which has made Symi one of the most evocative islands of the Aegean.
