The story

Trip - holiday with Viaggi Ventaglio, together with Lara. It's early April, and we don't feel like undertaking a long journey for this holiday period.

Among the other short-haul destinations, we're offered the island of Rhodes, which, after some initial hesitation, we choose as our destination.

We leave from Verona on an Airbus A321 Volare and a few hours later we're at the international Diagoras airport of Rhodes, a short bus transfer (17 km) and we're at the Lindian village, near the village of Lardos, a short distance from Lindos.

To enjoy even more freedom, we rent a Fiat 600 with which we wander around the island, visiting the city of Rhodes, Prasonissi, Lindos.

The village The hotel, built in typical Greek style and completely renovated, is in a splendid position directly on the beach, a few kilometres from Lindos. Harmoniously set in the rich vegetation of hibiscus and bougainvillea, it offers a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. Suitable for those seeking tranquillity and wellbeing.

The beach of sand and shingle is equipped with free umbrellas, sun loungers and beach towels.

Lindos - Overlooking the promontory that encloses a beautiful natural bay, it has all the typical features of a Greek village. Perhaps it's the only one left on the island. Strolling through the little streets lined with white houses is an incredible spectacle. You hear no engines, everything is peacefully frozen as it was 50 years ago. The village of Lindos is dominated by the imposing acropolis, really well preserved, which is one of the main vestiges of ancient Greece. You can visit the site from 7 in the morning to 7 in the evening, except on Mondays, when it is open only in the afternoon. To go up to the acropolis you can either make a fair climb on foot or use the donkeys that, for a modest sum, carry tourists to the top of the hill.

The days pass peacefully, the temperature is excellent, a little less so the water, which isn't quite warm yet....
