The journey continues. Having left Kefalonia, our destination now is the famous Corinth.

We reach Kyllini by ferry and, after 4 hours of driving in the "emergency lane"

(that's how people drive in Greece) we arrive at our destination.

In Corinth we stayed for 3 nights in a hotel very close to the famous canal.

A whole morning was obviously devoted to the archaeological excavations, certainly very beautiful

but also here disturbed by the great heat. Ideal was the stop at one of the

many restaurants near the excavations, where we could eat excellent

meat and drink fresh water, all at a good price; here we also made friends with

a very friendly little Greek dog (see photo).

The visit to the canal obviously couldn't be missed, a majestic work we had always

heard about on TV and which we could now admire with our own eyes.

We spent the 3 evenings in Loutraki, where you could stroll along the lovely

seafront promenade; in this town, to be honest not very characteristic, we could

satisfy our palate, with numerous fish meals eaten here.

The hotel we chose was excellent, the pool was extremely useful, a real

"saviour", not to mention the air conditioning constantly on!

One day, frightened by the heavy traffic Athens is famous for, we left the

car at the railway station of Corinth and got to Athens in little more than an hour,

but the photos of this trip are in another story.

I invite you to look at our account of Athens and other places we visited;

the tour is long and there's still a lot to see and read...
