The story

Finally Berlin

Ever since I was a boy I had wanted to go and visit Berlin, especially when the television showed images of celebrating people tearing down that wall that divided the city for too long. I was too small, I was studying and hadn't yet started travelling the world, but I remember those images and I remember that I would have liked to be there together with all those people and in those places where history was being rewritten. Over time perhaps I lost interest in Berlin, or perhaps my goals had become more distant and harder to reach, and by now Berlin was part of that Europe that had become a bit tight for me; I could go wherever I wanted, anywhere in the world, so this city no longer aroused interest, or there was simply always some more intriguing place to reach and I no longer thought about organising a trip.

Thanks to the possibility of travelling at reduced costs in Europe, when one day a friend told me he would like to visit Berlin I said to myself "I've never been there", so why not pop over during a weekend, and having found that there were direct flights from my city I organised everything..................
