The story
Eighteen years after my first visit, nothing of the Wall remains but a few metres that serve as a backdrop for tourists' photos. The differences between East and West Berlin are, in my view, very few.
Berlin today is a modern city, full of greenery, rich in monuments, history, modern architectural works and entertainment.
Among the things to see, the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag with its transparent dome are unmissable (transparency in politics is essential for Germans!). The Pergamon Museum is a must.
