It is a different Berlin from today's. The memory of the wall was still rather close, the year was 1995. People still went around the eastern part with the curiosity of those trying to find the aliens of the Texas desert. The city is very large, imposing in the buildings of the centre but in a phase of reconstruction: many building sites open. In particular that of the Reichstag, impossible to imagine years later. The people you met were enthusiastic about the union, and in the squares of central Berlin dozens of young people stopped to play and sing together, east and west. So many emotions and so many memories come back to mind seeing the images of the Brandenburg Gate. There are many memories too of the Berlin hostel, mostly inhabited by Kurds and less by tourists. Clean, tidy: almost a guesthouse. Many greetings to Berlin.
