To the Alps Across the Islands

TOWARDS THE ALPS ACROSS THE ISLANDS We set off from Civitavecchia on a Moby Line ferry, disembarked at Olbia, camped at Palau, from Santa Teresa di Gallura ferry to Bonifacio, camped at Porto Vecchio then at Aleria, visit to Corte, camped at the mouth of the Ostriconi, from Calvi ferry to Nice. First night in Provence at Levens in a guesthouse, camped at St. Etienne de Tinée, over the Col de la Bonette to a hotel at Jausiers, over the Col de Vars to a campsite at Briancon in the hamlet of La Vachette, crossing the Montgenevre pass, then through Claviere and Susa, crossing the Col du Mont Cenis, stay in a hotel at Bonneval, followed by the climb of the Col de l'Iseran. Descended, crossed Val d'Isere, last stay in a chalet at Seez. Grand finale over the Little St Bernard Pass, descent to Pre Saint Didier, and at the end arrival and a short stay in a private house in Courmayeur.
