Choosing Corsica was pretty much random. Actually we found a last-minute ticket with the Moby line for 1 euro and we took advantage of it. We set off from Rome and reached Livorno, from where in a little over 4 hours of sailing we reached Bastia. We toured Corsica anticlockwise, without however venturing into the central mountains. All our hotels (or rather guesthouses) were booked online and by phone. Corsica can't be called a very cheap destination, but if you want you can spend sustainably. Lots of beautiful beaches (especially on the south-east side of the island) but also rather crowded. In the end the trip was lovely even if very tiring: the roads in the west of the island are quite "demanding". Beware of the Corsican "pilots" who stick 10 cm from your car and drive with their arm out the window... Have a good holiday in Corsica
