The story

Flight with Easyjet excellent... the time always kept, comfortable plane, friendly staff, booked online; the stopover at Orly is much more convenient, far closer. Hotel booked with Booking.com, also excellent, a 2-star hotel (since we only needed to sleep) nice, generous breakfast, friendly staff, excellent location near the Bastille, name: Comfort hotel, good value for money, breakfast included. Paris remains for me one of the most beautiful cities in the world; the transport services are excellent — metro, coach, taxi, etc. I always recommend getting around by metro, buying the 10-ticket carnets; careful when you use RER lines like the ones for Versailles and Eurodisney, they're a bit more of a hassle... you have to wait for the connections and sometimes they're not explained very well...

As for advice in general: 1) visit Versailles in the afternoon around 2.30pm, there's much, much less of a queue... take the electric cart for hire (28 euros) for 1 hour but it's really worth it, you can tour all the gardens comfortably 2) Eurodisney: there are some rides with longer queues — use the Fast pass method; in short, you book the ride and you'll be given a time to turn up, you'll avoid a lot of queues, it's all explained in the leaflet at the start 3) right now it's really hot; if you decide to go in this period, arm yourself with a hat and a vest... 4) Paris is very expensive, 1 (bad) ice cream 4 euros... bring plenty of cash.... 5) Eiffel Tower: the best time to avoid queues is 12.00-13.00, go right to the top, don't stop at the lower levels.... it's an unmissable spectacle.

Finally, Parisians are a bit friendlier than before (it's the third time I've been to Paris) but still a bit introverted... to avoid using other words... Have fun, Sabrina
