The story

TEO has just turned six months old, and to celebrate this event in a fitting way we decide, to coincide with our holidays, to do a Tour of Provence and a dutiful visit to his cousins across the Alps (Lyon).

Easy Jet flight Rome (FCO) - Lyon (LYS): flawless Two Guides: Provence and the French Riviera (LP + the usual dud) + Provence and the French Riviera (TOP 10 Mondadori - concise but very accurate) Avignon: Hôtel du Palais des Papes (city centre area, opposite the Palais des Papes) Arles: Hôtel Le Calendal (city centre area, opposite the Arènes. NOTE: quite simply one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in Saintes-Maries: Hôtel Le Mirage (classic little seaside-resort hotel) Aix-en-Provence: Hotel Saint Christophe (city centre area, a stone's throw from Cours Mirabeau)
