As usual, I carved out a week for a nice cruise, and with this one I'm at number 30..........we set off from beautiful Savona, a bit awkward to reach by train but it's worth it; you arrive at the railway station, which is about a 10-minute taxi ride from the beautiful Palacrociere, excellently run by the always great Costa Cruises. And here she appears..........it's our ship, which will take us around for a week: she is the Costa Victoria, my favourite ship, in fact this is the 5th time I've been on the same ship. Very beautiful inside, with modern yet classic interiors, without those excessive baroque flourishes that reign today on the newest generation of cruise ships. Warm yet relaxing colours, and so many, truly many opportunities for fun and relaxation.
