a magnificent tour of Provence

Day 114 Aug 2006

Marseille would deserve well more than three days of visit, if only for the thousand opportunities that a port city with a great past behind it knows how to offer, in any case I recommend a visit to the sanctuary of notre dame de la garde to enjoy the sea breeze and a magnificent view of the city. Another suggestion is to take a boat from the old port towards the romantic fortress of the chateau d If and the beautiful iles du Frioul, the main artery of the city is the wide boulevard de la Canébiere that extends east of the vieux port.
