On 5 January we set off again from the bus station in Riga bound for Tallinn, since we had to get back to Tampere, where we had our return flight. Arriving in the Estonian capital, we settled into a guest house just outside the walls of the old town. Much better and above all cheaper than the suburban hostel of the first days of this trip. We spent a splendid evening in the company of 2 Muscovite girls. On the morning of the 6th Bello left us to go to the airport to catch the flight to Warsaw. We, after another short stroll around the city, headed to the port to take a ship back to Helsinki. Unbelievable!! We bought the ticket and missed it!!! After a bit of insisting we managed to get our money refunded and so we looked for another ferry making the crossing. We ended up on the same ship as on the way out.
Arriving in very expensive Helsinki, we took a tram to the train station, from where we went almost immediately to Tampere (22 euros). Coming out of the station of this freezing town around midnight, we immediately asked for information about a hostel. Fortunately two very kind and friendly girls helped us settle into a room. They practically did everything themselves. From looking for the address, to phoning the hostel manager and even filling in the usual forms with name, nationality, passport number etc. etc. We settled into the Hotelli Iltatahti (25 euro a night), located at Tuomiokirkonkatu 19, a street very close to the train station. Once settled, we joined "our" 2 new friends in a bar where we spent yet another evening drinking.... In Tampere there are loads of metalheads!!! The following day we took the bus to head to the airport, where at 17.00 we had the flight to Frankfurt.
Arriving in the German city, we left our luggage at the station and spent the whole night wandering around the city!!!
