Baltic Republics Part 3

this was the last stop of our journey in Baltic lands... by now things have probably changed after so many years, but I like to remember it as a typically northern country.. girls truly beautiful and fair-skinned, polar cold despite it being August and typically Soviet architecture.. which made me very happy since I personally love Orthodox churches! The main stop was the capital Tallinn, after a day in Tartu, of which, besides the big university, there is very little to see.. where we stayed 2 days. Well, Tallinn seemed to me a very pretty city... the church of Sant'Olaf and the old town are truly beautiful, but personally the highlight was the Alexander Nevsky cathedral, it felt like being in Moscow!! Then we headed for the island of Saaremaa, a little island I had never heard of before, but I had to change my mind about how beautiful it was..

Kari but above all the little town of Kuressaare.. an island where peace and calm reign!
