Denmark.
Copenhagen is the capital, a small but very well-organised Scandinavian country. Together with Sweden they built a mega-bridge that joins the two states in no time, also using Italian workers and technicians; luckily you can reach it by road from Italy — there are no ferries to take as there might be for England with the Channel. I had already booked with Ryanair from Pisa the ticket to Billund to go and visit Legoland, an amusement park made out of those little brick blocks for building anything. In reality I have already set foot in Denmark three times. The first was when I did my round-the-world trip using the local airline SAS, with a 4-hour stopover at the international airport; this happened in 1990, and even then I noticed that everything is very expensive.
Then, arriving with Lufthansa from Frankfurt, Vanni and I slept one night at the airport's transit hotel; this hotel has a peculiarity, it's made of cabins, with shower and toilet, the size of a cabin on a cargo ship, and you rent it by the hour. 6 hours were enough for us, from midnight to 6, and then the convenience of already being inside the airport to take the all-red Airbus 330 bound for Greenland. The third time was for the return from the land of the polar bears a few days later. On landing you can see dozens of big propellers planted in the sea to generate electricity; indeed this is one of those countries, like the Netherlands, where they care a lot about nature. I can't say I've visited Denmark, but I certainly can't say I haven't touched it either.
Bye
