MOVING ON
We set off very late and cover very little ground, but the important thing is to set off. We spend the day of the 10th travelling as well. We cross the whole of Germany on a motorway blazing with heat and lorries.

WEST COAST OF JUTLAND TOWARDS SKAGEN, THE FAR NORTH OF DENMARK
We set off very late and cover very little ground, but the important thing is to set off. We spend the day of the 10th travelling as well. We cross the whole of Germany on a motorway blazing with heat and lorries.

At 12 we cross the border with Denmark, our journey begins. We would like to start by visiting Mogaltonder Castle but it is already closed (it opens for just one hour a day). As we move on to Tonder we have our baptism of Danish weather with a furious storm. At 5 p.m. the people on the streets of Tonder vanish; we are practically alone. We decide to go and watch the sunset on the island of Lakolk. Dinner in the light of the sunset on an endless beach. We are tempted to stay for the night, but the tide starts to rise and we have to retrace our steps quickly.

We spent the night in Ribe in a wonderful equipped campsite. We devote the morning to visiting the small town. The afternoon is devoted to... holiday homework. Towards evening we move to the car park for the island of Mando.

A day devoted to the island of Mando. To get there you use the Mandobus, a gigantic tractor that pulls a cart fitted out as a tourist bus. The road to the island crosses a ford that, even at low tide, always remains covered by a layer of sea water. We spend the day in complete freedom.
