Prague

Prague, long described as the city of mystery. This city, with its Gothic architecture and soft colours, gives you pleasant emotions. Moving around by metro you can reach the most characteristic places of Prague in a few moments, visit the castle and climb to the top doing the 287 spiral steps; once back down from the castle tower, head towards the gardens and admire the extraordinary panorama; coming down from the gardens, go towards Charles Bridge, itself a destination for many tourists; after the bridge, you can settle onto a boat that travels the whole river that separates the city; don't take the two-hour one, which is really boring, buy the ticket for just one hour so you can have this experience without stressing yourself too much! For lunch or dinner... try to be practical and not let yourself be fleeced by restaurateurs all too eager to push a plate of sausage and beans.

At departure time we changed our money at the airport, which is advisable, because if you arrive in Prague with euros they'll definitely rip you off! There the koruna is used, but the people of Prague have adapted well, so they don't make you miss the euro; if someone sets off on the assumption that they're going to Prague to buy the city, they'd better just not go at all. Would you like my final verdict on this city? FROM 1 TO 10...

4 the people are not at all friendly, they always try to rip you off, they're not respectful of those who go there to visit and, logically, to bring money; perhaps they're still shaken by the suffering they endured for many years, but I'm of the opinion that they're just victims! I advise you to keep your documents and your money always under control, or to find a safe place where velvet hands don't reach! be careful: fake police officers go around the city, who ask you for your documents and make you fork out money for futile things! It didn't happen to us; in the IBIS HOTEL there are notices on how to behave... a hotel recommended for its cleanliness and the way it treats its guests, as well as the fact that the rooms are really new and the breakfast is like a lunch! then you can even sneak a sandwich and make yourself a packed lunch... nobody forbids it!
