There were four of us, me, Bello and Ravenna, by car, while Puddu joined us by plane. Destination: PRAGUE. This was also the last trip made by Bello's Peugeot. So in the late afternoon of the 28th we set off from Motta for the Czech capital.
Late at night we were somewhere around Salzburg and, tired, we took an highway exit in search of a place to spend the night. In a small Austrian village, after about an hour of vain attempts to find a "tavern" or something like that, we met a strange but friendly Austrian couple who ran a place. They kept buying us drinks all night... so much for sleeping........in their company we partied until morning!!
After a stop in the strange Ceske Budejovice we arrived in Prague around 4:00 p.m. and after 3 hours of searching we found a room at Pension Beta. This guesthouse is located at Jaromirova 46/174 in the residential area of Prague 2, and the time to reach the historic center by car is about 20 minutes. We always drove around the city and never had any problems, not even with the police. Toward evening Puddu arrived too, and our Czech week began.
Prague is a stunning city crossed by the Vltava River, beautiful even in the outskirts. There are many things to visit, such as the Charles Bridge (Karluv most) with its towers and the Jewish ghetto that arose in the 13th century. We felt very good there; it was a vacation both cultural and fun; perhaps the only flaw is the massive presence of Italians....but you can all imagine why. A piece of advice for the men: don't go to Prague with your wife or girlfriend!! To eat...well, the famous restaurant by the clock, where you enjoy excellent dishes, drink good beer, and have a good time!!
