The story

This time we're off to Croatia!!!

We left from Bari at 11:00 pm by ferry and reached Dubrovnik at 7:00 am

and immediately before us a spectacular landscape rich in green, beautiful hills and a sea that couldn't have been any bluer. We immediately set off looking for an apartment. In no time at all we found one in Mlini (Dubrovnik), really nice and spotless, of course with a sea view, and at a very low price.

Dubrovnik is a beautiful city, particularly the walk along the walls of the castle that surrounds the city.

South of Dubrovnik, the village of Cavtat is very beautiful, near here is the border with Montenegro.

Having left Dubrovnik, we reached Orebic, stopping along the way at Ston, famous for the wall that surrounds it. Enchanting roads and breathtaking panoramas form the backdrop throughout the journey. From Orebic, Korcula is near but we didn't go, a shame because the photos seen on the internet were delightful.

Orebic is lovely, but nothing special, from here one day we set off for Mostar (Bosnia), setting off with a bit of fear, we came back absolutely delighted. (see Bosnia story)

The trip then continued towards Hvar, where we spent 2 days camping and precisely at Jelsa.

The island of Hvar is very touristy, but absolutely worth visiting. Watch out for the roads (east of the island) they are very dangerous and full of pitfalls.

The trip continued towards the Krka National Park (just above Split), a boat trip and a swim in the waterfalls, which we'll find hard to forget because of the beautiful scenery and the freezing water.

Afterwards we went to Trogir, a very beautiful little village full of young people like us. In the evening we had a lot of fun, wandering the streets of Trogir, listening to live music played by the local kids.

The holiday thus came to an end, before leaving from the port of Split, we saw this city, truly beautiful and rich in history, a shame about the few hours we spent there, Split deserves a more thorough visit.

Croatia entered our hearts, not only for the places seen but also for the people we met, all very cordial.

Greetings from the travellers Claudio and Valentina
