Zagreb and Rijeka

Trip made by car in the company of two friends as part of a short tour in which we also touched Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, always sleeping in Zagreb. Having entered Croatia from Slovenia we headed directly to Zagreb where we had booked a room in a suburban district. We took possession of the apartment, nice and functional, with a living room, sofa bed, double bedroom and bathroom. From here with a short walk we had dinner in a bakery and returned for the overnight stay. The following day to the Primary School of Jakovlje, a small town surrounded by countryside. They say that here one eats decently so we take advantage of it by going to lunch in a typical large restaurant of a nearby village. Good food, abundant and cheap. We return to Zagreb where we quickly visit the historic centre.

We move to a city district to visit an Art Studio, then, accompanied by a local lady, back to the centre. We visit a few squares, the Cathedral, see some public buildings from the outside and have a tea in a place. We accompany the lady to the tram, eat something and return to the apartment. The next morning we leave for Bosnia and Herzegovina (see the relevant itinerary). In the late afternoon we return to Croatia and in the evening we are in Zagreb where we stay overnight in the usual apartment. The day after we leave Zagreb and stop in Rijeka for a short tour of the City and for lunch in a restaurant near the Port. From here we set off again and, having reached the border, we enter Slovenia.
