The story
At that time I was a young lad with a great desire to travel and see the World, but in reality I had never left Italy except to go to San Marino and Vatican City. Finding myself in Friuli Venezia Giulia with my aunt and a friend of hers on a tour, I insisted with them that we go to Austria. They decided to indulge me, and so we took a train at Udine which, through Tarvisio, took us to Villach, the first Austrian town beyond the border. We visited the centre, also going into church for Mass. We then went to a café to have a tea. It was a beautiful sunny day, we took a few photos and then caught the train back to Udine. It was my first real trip abroad.
