Christmas Markets!!!!

The smell of mulled wine, potatoes, sweets... what a fantastic atmosphere in this Tyrol all dressed up for the holidays!!!!!!! if you fancy breathing in a bit of Christmas atmosphere, it's worth getting in the car and driving a few hours to reach those places at the foot of the Alps where time seems to have stopped... ah... how lovely just to think of it!!!!! stalls, music, sounds and smells are the things that stay in your mind from those places!!!! I've nicknamed Innsbruck the jewel box of the Tyrol.... marvellous is the square in front of the Golden Roof with that big Christmas tree surrounded by tiny stalls full of candles and very unusual Christmas trinkets. From Innsbruck back on the road towards Salzburg!!!! Beautiful city, stunning castle and gardens, everything very well kept — just that alone gives the impression of living on another planet!!!!!
