The story
I reached this small mountain state from Spain, to be precise from La Seu d'Urgell, whose Bishop together with the President of France is its co-ruler. I visited the modern capital Andorra la Vella, which contrary to its name (la vella = the old one) is very modern and full of duty-free shopping centres selling electrical appliances, perfumes, spirits and tobacco. I had dinner in Les Escaldes and slept in Encamp, a typically mountain village amid the Pyrenees. A few hours visiting Andorra is more than enough. A long journey just to come here is not advisable.
