The story
Back in 1997 I was completing the then still compulsory Military Service in Spoleto in Umbria, and what better task could someone who loves travelling as much as I do get? Naturally, the driver! After various duties here and there all over Italy, on 18 July they asked me and 2 other fellow soldiers whether we wanted to go and deliver some material to Albania. So on the morning of 19 July, at the wheel of 3 ACM80s, we set off for Bari and then boarded for Vlorë.. It was practically a "cruise" across the whole Adriatic, since to reach our destination we set off from Bari via Venice..
