From Montenegro to Greece, passing through Albania and Macedonia. Via Tirana. Given that, apart from its capital, we did not touch the places considered touristy, unfortunately the impression we received was not the best. Here, unlike the other countries, the precarious situation and the poverty that persists are palpable. Contact with people was limited, but there is certainly no care for anything around them. Dirt and scrap metal reign supreme. Tirana is rather ugly, and even without having experienced it, we found nothing worth seeing. The area on the Macedonian border is green and beautiful but absolutely unspoilt. We never felt unsafe; people are friendly and the police absolutely helpful and extremely kind. An experience to have... but I certainly wouldn't recommend it for a holiday. At least for now...
