At last the long-awaited holidays have arrived.... and we set off straight away. Destination Mexico and more precisely Playacar, a residential neighbourhood of Playa del Carmen, at the Viva Wyndham Maya. The holiday was booked with Un Altro Sole, a truly solid tour operator, already tested for Cuba. A village not too big, clean and well kept with continental cuisine, and a mega beach, unfortunately little used by us because for 5 days we wandered around Mexico, trying to see as much as possible. Since the Spanish "conquistadores" arrived in Mexico at the beginning of the 16th century, this wonderful country of Central America has always exerted its charm on its continent. Here disappeared cultures and mysterious ruins, immersed in the tropical forest, coexist harmoniously with long stretches of desert covered by dream beaches.
Mexicans are a very cheerful people even though their life is not always easy because of widespread poverty.
