hi everyone, we have been to the Dominican Republic for the second time. The first time we were in Bavaro, in an all inclusive, but we were among the few who always went out on our own, without guide! and we fell in love with this beautiful island. now the second time we organised our trip to see different places further north: the Samana peninsula, Las Terrenas, the north coast: Sosua and Cabarete and Puerto Plata. we searched a bit online and found Italian people resident in the Dominican Republic who helped us organise a fantastic holiday! they helped us find a cheap flight arriving at Puerto Plata airport, and there we hired a car. we stayed a few days in Sosua in the guest house of some Italians (neverland guest house) the same ones who, having a travel agency and services, booked us the car and the hotels in the other places.
they themselves acted as our guides in their area, in the first days, so as to open our eyes to the Dominican reality, and so when we set off on our own for the Samana peninsula we were already a bit experienced!!! their web page is or we flew with arkefly to Puerto Plata: the site is in a language we didn't know, but with google translator you can manage to book online, otherwise they can buy the tkt for you from there and send it to you by email or, if you prefer, by writing to info@quequieres.org we will go again at the start of summer to see many more things that we didn't see on this holiday! happy travels everyone, if you need info write to them or to me!
