Through a travel agency in my city I managed to get a flight-only package with Lauda/Livingstone, without any kind of assistance. I found the accommodation thanks to a dear Cuban friend, in a stunning colonial house with air conditioning (essential in August), hot water (useless) and a television. Very beautiful and clean (twice a day they tidied up my room), I didn't even find it expensive at 35 CUC per day. Since this was my first Fai-Da-Me trip to Cuba, I had some initial difficulty getting from Havana's José Martí Airport to Cardenas, solved thanks to the kindness of a bus driver who took me to Varadero. Here I stayed for the night at the Mercure Playa de Oro hotel (single - 105 CUC). In the morning I managed to reach my destination by taxi! And the most beautiful holiday of my life began...
Which has unfortunately now ended but will be repeated soon! Definitely worth visiting are Havana, far and wide, and Santa Clara (but not on a Monday, as the mausoleum is closed). Cuba is always Cuba, and for me it is always Paradise
