Bangkok

I've been to Bangkok 5 times (once in 2004, 2005 and 2006, twice in 2008), always at the end of every one of my trips to the East. But why this choice? First of all because flights from Europe to Bangkok are usually very cheap, and secondly because here I feel at home. The city is wonderfully liveable, the people wonderful, shopping cheap and you never tire of seeing the monuments again (see the royal palace). I also recommend it for the nightlife (skip Pat-Pong, go to Kao San Road instead) and for getting your photos developed at the end of the holiday (very cheap and excellent quality!).
