Hi, my name is Franco, and I want to tell you about my holiday in Thailand, a wonderful experience, 20 intense days in which I discovered a country and its wonderful people. People always smiling and ready to meet your every need. Starting in the capital, Bangkok, my holiday began right away with discovering a world completely different from ours; even though it is a huge metropolis, there was no problem visiting it, I felt a sense of calm about me that I could never have in a big city in Italy. I visited the royal palace, the floating market, the great reclining Buddha statue and various Buddhist and Chinese temples, a wonderful experience. In the evening, nightlife from discos to pubs with live music and other venues where you certainly won't get bored.
After three intense days I moved on to Phuket, an island considered the pearl of the Andaman Sea, an island that offers you everything, from beautiful beaches with crystal-clear water to the chance to tour the whole island by scooter, where you can see wonderful places, visit small bays in their natural state where you will hardly find tourists, and venture into the places where the local people live, discovering their way of life, their simplicity and friendliness towards foreigners; you will be fascinated.
During my holiday I combined days at the beach with trips into the island's interior, as I mentioned, and I took day trips to nearby islands such as "Phi Phi Island, where DiCaprio's film was shot"; there too you'll find dazzling white beaches and can go snorkelling among colourful fish in crystal-clear waters, and Phang Nga with its evocative landscapes amid the greenery of the mangroves, which I had only seen in television documentaries. All very beautiful, and in the evening nightlife, which on the island of Phuket is certainly not lacking. I think from my account you've understood that it was an unforgettable holiday, and I promised myself I'd go back as soon as possible, because 20 days are not enough to see everything and because a peaceful place like Thailand is not easy to find for a holiday.
Before visiting this country I had, in my own small way, visited other countries, and I can assure you that here we are in another world. Greetings to all, Franco pinki2005@libero.it
