The story

First week devoted to Bangkok and discovering all its magnificent temples, the little street restaurants, long tuk-tuk rides through the chaos and the suffocating smog, the floating market, the nightlife. Second week: to get some fresh air after the stay in Bangkok, a week of trekking in the Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai area, five or six hours of walking a day and nights spent in the huts of the local tribes, rafting, elephant rides and plenty of tramping. The relaxing massages of Chiang Mai. A trip to the Mekong, a breakfast of dried fish, the spiritual encounter with the Buddhist monk. The urge to enter Laos! The night lost among the tracks of the Golden Triangle and the cosy little guesthouse on the riverbank. The light-and-sound show.

And then Phuket, the beaches, the sea and once again the magical Phi Phi Island with its turquoise waters and steep cliffs, the bamboo ladders of the swallow-nest collectors. The seafood, the little restaurants on the beach and the straw hut. The train journey in the middle of the universal deluge, and Bangkok again.
