The story
Thailand was my first experience of the East... we set off from Fiumicino with a Thai flight to the Thai capital.(.a really excellent airline)..on arrival, an absurd and suffocating heat robs us of our strength and energy...too hot..truly unbearable..we stay at the Amari Atrium, a luxury hotel that hosts us at relatively low prices..our room, equipped with an enormous sheet of glass from which you could admire the whole city, at night offered a breathtaking panorama: a galaxy of lights turned buildings and skyscrapers into sparkling matchsticks..it was incredibly unlikely: an oriental Manhattan preparing for its night vigil...that same evening, after 12 hours of flying (without having slept) and with that heat, we decide to go out...never having been to the East before, I had no standards for judging..so I savoured the atmospheres of the place, appreciated the flavours and the smells.the
streets were packed with stalls selling everything that can fall within the rules of "authentic fake"...but honestly I didn't like anything at all..all too brazenly fake.. and badly made!!the activities I enjoyed doing, touristically speaking, were the most commercial: the floating market and the visit to the Buddhist temples,...both are necessary if you want to experience a piece of Thailand!!an unpleasant experience was the one in the red-light district...:having entered a venue we realized what our eyes were about to see...:14-year-old girls completely naked pulling objects out of their genitals..opening bottles..
lighting cigarettes..all with their genitals..after 15 minutes of the show..honestly I wanted to vomit..we flee immediately from the dive...after three days in the capital we set off for Ko Samui..the island, I mean the inland, would have been fabulous if it hadn't been completely distorted in its original features.deprived of its splendid wild face, only a very few glimpses (which we sought and found)have been spared from the ferocious construction activities...:hotels, restaurants, shops, clubs and discos are on every corner..everything gives the feeling of not being in Thailand!!and I don't take kindly to that!the sea then leaves something to be desired...absolutely nothing to do with the spectacular Malaysian sea..one day we decided to take an excursion to 2 islets off the island...and I wish we never had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!the ocean was furious black...our boat on the return didn't mov
e a millimetre..I start crying desperately..Mimmo tries to calm me down but he didn't have the time since we were flying from one side of the boat to the other, the water was coming in, the waves were 4 or 5 metres high.they covered our faces...it was pouring rain and by now my crying was desperation!!! we couldn't stay still because the waves were so swollen that with each one the boat struggled to get over it..and every wave was a tumble...all the tourists were terrified so we forced that madman to stop at the first port where we would take the first safer means..and so we did!!and here the good part begins!! the new accommodation was safe..more than a boat it was a ship..we were more than 100 people..I calmed down(smoke in my eyes)..after 5 minutes of sailing..we were back on the high seas, the waves were very high and covered the entire ship..but this one was hermetically sealed, I th
ought luckily,!!within 15 minutes white face and intense sweating..we all started to feel unwell..I don't know who opened the "vomiting session" but I can assure you we all threw up!!not just once..me 3 times, Mimmo 4 times, the others too..an intense stench spread through the whole space,.the sight of the transparent plastic bags with vomit inside made me vomit even more..the English people's bags were the most generous...(they drink far more liquids than others)I can assure you it was the worst experience of my life!!abdominal pain.head spinning, so intense that I thought I was dying!!if I had fainted it would have been better..at least, not being conscious, I wouldn't have suffered so much!!so a piece of advice...always book excursions on the same day you intend to do them, otherwise if the weather is bad you can't postpone..(you lose your money)..if the weather is good set off, if it
isn't wait for the right day. which on average,.one sunny day out of 7 there should be..!!in short, my holiday in Thailand, if it hadn't been for the good food and the temples...would have been truly awful!!I should say that Thailand is big and that there will certainly be fantastic places I didn't see.. but the ones I saw I advise against, the ones I didn't see you will see and you'll let me know whether they're worth visiting or not..ok???see you soon your travel friend manuela

guarda,per me avete toppato in pieno! ma non vi siete documentati prima di partire?lo sanno anche i sassi che a bangkok c'è caldo e che a KOH SAMUI (perchè si scrive cosi...non KOSA MUI...)il mare non è bellissimo,c'è scritto in qualunque forum e qualunque agenzia ve lo poteva dire!!!! io adoro la thailandia e ci tornero proprio quest'estate con entusiasmo... il mare se è mosso è mosso ovunque,non solo in thai quindi se soffrite il mare forse era meglio non andare in giro in barca...per il locale a luci rosse solo voi siete riusciti ad entrarci senza accorgervi di cosa fosse in realtà,non ci si può sbagliare e solo voi non sapevate che genere di spettacoli si facciano visto che ci sono i PR in giro con i cataloghi delle esibizioni quindi è impossibile entrarci e restare sorpresi...tutti vengono li a proporti il ping-pong...pensavate davvero di giocare al tavolo con le racchette???? forse per voi era meglio andare a ibiza..lasciate i viaggi seri ai viaggiatori!
