well yes....... the murderer always returns to the scene of the crime!!:) after a year of waiting we go back to Veligandu together with our son Davide.
It's as beautiful as the year before, always well kept and lush...this year the weather gave us fantastic days...very few clouds in the sky and only a little rain one evening while we were playing foosball. This year though the monsoon blowing from the east hadn't turned yet and the lagoon in front of our bungalow was hard to use for snorkelling, which we did anyway on the east side, with a calm, flat sea, as of course we had never seen the previous year.
The restaurant food is always excellent and out of curiosity I wanted to see on the scales how much it cost me in kg that week: exactly 1.5, surely the three hours of daily snorkelling will have helped me not to make things worse!! We met our waiter Amir again, saw the boy from the fishermen's island, Hassam.....in short it felt like we'd come home.....then as repeat guests they invited us to the cocktail with the island's general managers, they gave us t-shirts and my son too got a wonderful treatment. The seaplane trip let us see, thanks to the good weather, the North Male atoll from above....it's a marvellous, fairy-tale sight... When it was time to leave nobody wanted to leave this paradise, Davide first of all, even willing to stow away as a waiter!! The arrival of the seaplane, however, brought us back to reality....that is, from 30 degrees to +2 degrees in Milan....
