The story

Anyone in a good state of physical fitness and who loves nature simply has to climb Mount Kinabalu. The effort is great (in 2 days you go from 1800 to 4200 metres), but the volcano's forest is incredible: it feels like being in a real garden, which changes with altitude. Here are the largest and smallest carnivorous plants in the world, giant orchids of countless species, and vegetation that doesn't seem wild and spontaneous but tended by a gardener. For the climb I strongly recommend booking the lodges, if you don't want to risk having to give up for lack of beds, and remember to bring high-altitude gear because at the summit it's really cold. Once back at the park entrance I also recommend recovering your strength with at least a day at the wonderful "Poring Hot Springs" spa. Look at the photos and then tell me if it isn't worth it!!!
