The story

From Rajasthan to Agra, then on towards Khajuraho and finally Varanasi. The classic northern tour, using every possible means of transport... camel, car, train, bus, plane. A long-awaited trip... and in the end a little underwhelming. Strong emotions. For better and for worse. India's treasures are like precious lapis lazuli blended into a social fabric steeped in too much inequality. The eye rejoices, but the mind cannot always accept the other side of the coin.
