Just after crossing the border at Kasane from Botswana to Kazungula, on the road to Victoria Falls, as usual many African animals welcome us, such as kudu and tsessebe, not to mention the usual elephants and warthogs. In the country I discover that the supermarket is well stocked and that the Tsvangirai effect was immediate: the sanctions have been eased and there's petrol too. I've discovered a new place to visit, very close to the Victoria Falls hotel: there's a spot where you look down into the canyon just after the falls, and the view is spectacular. They've also added 3 new bungee jumps. Each one scarier than the last. The people, as always, are very welcoming, humble and kind. The Wimpy, a McDonald's stand-in, has closed; on the other hand they've opened a new shop that includes an ice-cream parlour, pizzeria, café and sweet shop.
