The story

Zambia, second time Nicola and I are in Zimbabwe at Victoria Falls, where we've been camping for a few days, and this morning we go with the organisation of the Sobek expedition - the ones who do rafting in inflatable boats, to be clear. We cross the great bridge that separates Zambia from Zimbabwe, and here we are at the Zambian customs: on the left those entering, on the right of the customs those coming this way. We all get off the van and, passports in hand, queue up. Luckily, since we're with them, we don't need a visa - all the more so because we'll cross the Zambezi and land back in Zimbabwe anyway. So we clear the border and shortly after turn down a road that takes us to the base of the canyon, just past the magnificent falls on the Zambian side.

Here we put on life jackets and helmets, then climb onto the raft with Sobek written on the sides - the only company that rafts the Zambian side. From here our adventure begins, but as soon as we set off, on the river full of rapids, we're always half in Zambia and half in Zimbabwe. After 3 hours of sheer bliss, here we are back on the Zimbabwe side, where the minibus takes us back to the town of Victoria Falls. Bye
