This year we had already booked our summer holidays in the Dominican Republic, but we really didn't feel like waiting another 3 months for a bit of well-deserved relaxation, so we decided to take a flight and spend 4 days in Tunisia, precisely on the island of Djerba. I consider this little trip of mine "A taste of Africa", given the short duration and given that it was my first time in Africa! During these days we went on the excursion to the Blue Lagoon, also called the Salt Lake, and we also visited the island's interior; it was fun and nice because it was our first time on a quad.
We went for a ride on the back of a dromedary and, since it was May (the month of births), we were lucky enough to see the babies! A not-so-nice memory is certainly the "too many vucumpra'" — as soon as we got up from the hotel sunbed to go to the sea we were set upon by people insisting that we buy the things they were selling, and this was heart-breaking! We stayed at the Miramar Djerba Palace... and here nothing to say... an excellent hotel in every way! If I'm honest, I liked the island of Djerba and at the same time it didn't drive me crazy. It served to relax us and to see different things we'd never seen before, but honestly I would never come here for the "sacrosanct" summer holidays.
