South Africa Flash Only a few days, they're always better than nothing, 5 days for a mad dash. I fly to London in the morning and go into the city to collect at the Delta airlines offices the plane ticket with South African Airways that leaves that evening for Cape Town, Travelling in Business and the flight is very nice obviously, thank goodness I was in that class, it's well known that SAA in economy has the seats very close together, they look like Ryanair's. As soon as I land the following morning I fly with the new Boeing 737 with winglets, for the first time. I reach Johannesburg and again fly with a small 40-seat propeller plane to Palaborwa. Here I rent a red golf and sleep in a bungalow, right 2 km from the entrance of Kruger park.
The next day, again on my own, I begin the safari making various stops at Orpen Letaba etc, and for the first time I go up as far as Punda Maria, that area is very dry but not many animals. I sleep in a B&B just outside the Kruger gate. one tyre is flat, I reinflate it and change it with the spare one.But from that moment on I'm worried that if I get another puncture, I'm done for. it's Sunday and the tyre shops are closed. Anyway I arrive safely in Johannesburg, where I find my friend Guido. The next day I go to Pilanesberg with Guido's brother-in-law and in the evening back again to spend the night at his house. The next day I fly back to Europe, always in business and always via London bye
