The story

A short trip to the island of Principe, where time has stood still. In the old roça of Sundy the colonial remains survive like immortal spirits, an old locomotive that bears witness to the great cocoa production of the 60s-70s. Principe can be reached from the island of São Tomé in a 40-minute flight. The capital is the town of Santo Antonio, famous for the performances of the Auto de Floripes every year in the month of August. About 5000 inhabitants, immaculate and unspoilt beaches, a paradise for turtles. Hotel: Bom Bom Resort, Pensão Palhota, Pensão Romar. Typical dishes: molho no fogo, peixe limão, crac, fundji maguita.
