The Afriqiyah Airways flight lands in Tripoli on time; a bit of apprehension because only 2 months earlier a plane of the same company had gone down right at this airport, even though the Airbus 330 in question is a very modern aircraft. It seems it depended on the excessive fatigue of the pilot in command. The waiting room is very ugly and old, but they are already building the new terminal; I think in a year it will be ready. Here people still smoke freely and Muslims pray in a small room set aside for it. On landing you clearly see that Libya is very desert and that the few houses are dilapidated. The usual problem of a country with the dictator of the moment in power. All the money for him and nothing for the people. 2 months later, on the return flight from South Africa, I land again at the same airport, again for connection reasons, but this time I stay 3 hours instead of 2.
I can't wait to board the A 320 for Milan. Ciao
