It is with Kenya in my heart that I will briefly tell you about my first (but not last!!!) trip to Africa! For work reasons I chose the month of October, and I found a fantastic climate, lots of sun but always breezy! The magic of "mother" Africa wraps around you at once, the moment you set foot off the plane! I stayed at the Jcaranda Beach Resort, immersed in the nature of the Watamu marine park. I highly recommend it both for the services offered and for the staff (all local).
No luxury but cleanliness and courtesy and a stupendous cuisine! The little paths inside the resort are all made of fine white sand and will let you walk barefoot! The entertainment is low-key but you won't miss it if you devote your days to excursions and walks! You will in any case have all the support of the entertainers, friendly and kind, and for this I especially thank Pendo! In the evening they will keep you entertained from 10 pm to midnight, and during the week you can watch acrobat shows, Maasai dances and tribal dances of the Kenyan coast people. For excursions I STRONGLY advise you to rely on the beach boys, the local young men you'll find on the beach, in particular Picasso and Giorgio Napolitano, who were for us trusted guides and always very helpful.
With them you can taste real African life! Don't stay locked up in the hotels, you'll miss the best of this land and the emotions it can offer you! Walks on the beach, on the sandbanks during the tides, Watamu, Malindi, their villages and their nightlife, blue safari, Tsavo East, the ruins of Gede, the island of love, the golden beach, fish feasts on the beach and much more... If you want to get to know Picasso and Giorgio better and read about what we were able to do together, go and visit the blog

Bon voyage everyone!!
